Vincent Van Gogh, Self Portrait
My art teacher says I’ll be the next Vincent Van Gogh—the biggest compliment I’ll ever receive in my life. I don’t think I’ll ever achieve his madness and pure creative beauty, but at least I’ll be up there, or can dream of it. I just hope I get lucky enough to have my paintings mean something when I’m dead. Thanks Mrs. Brooks

it’s crazy to think that such beauty exists on the earth we live in and most of us won’t ever be able to explore it
I love this time of year. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Now it’s time for the cheesy “what I’m thankful for speech” which I’ve never really done before, but, this year it seems pretty important. Since my sister Wyatt is currently a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines, it’s made me more aware of just how lucky and fortunate I am to have been born in America. Just because of that, I’m given so much freedom and privileges that other countries dream of and fight for. I’m thankful for my good health. I’m thankful for my siblings whom without I’d be completely lost. I’m thankful for my loyal, trustworthy, and kinds friends whom have molded me into the person I am today. I’m thankful for the time I get to share with people because each conversation I have, whether big or small, has impacted me in some way. I’m thankful for trees so that I can breathe and nature so that I can prance in its beauty. I’m thankful for life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. I hope we all use this holiday as a time to truly think about what we’re thankful for because we do live in a world that has its issues but is filled with so much beauty. Have a safe and merry holiday everyone.
